Harvest & production planning
04–07 (month numbers). Plan purchasing around harvest seasons, processing and raw-material availability. Sampling, production and documentation schedules are agreed with the selected producer after product and packaging approval. Allow separately for transport to the destination.
Documentation for your purchasing team
Request product specifications, batch analysis reports where relevant, ingredient and allergen declarations, storage conditions and shelf life. Agree traceability and testing requirements with the selected producer. Certification documents must cover the relevant product and production site.
From sample to shipment
Send the product, format, volume, destination and packaging brief. The next steps are quotation and specification approval, pro-forma and payment, production, pre-shipment sample approval, final quality control, balance payment and dispatch. Confirm all commercial terms in the quotation.
