Samples, orders & delivery
Practical guidance for sourcing, product development and export from Sri Lanka.

From sample to shipment
Send the product, format, volume, destination and packaging brief. The next steps are quotation and specification approval, pro-forma and payment, production, pre-shipment sample approval, final quality control, balance payment and dispatch. Confirm all commercial terms in the quotation.
Harvest & production planning
Plan purchasing around harvest seasons, processing and raw-material availability. Sampling, production and documentation schedules are agreed with the selected producer after product and packaging approval. Allow separately for transport to the destination.
Shipping
Choose shipping suited to the product, volume and destination, including courier, air freight or sea freight where appropriate. Agree the delivery term, named place, freight, insurance, documentation costs and responsibilities in writing for each order.
Export documents
Discuss the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, certificate of origin and any product-specific certificates. Documentation depends on the product, shipment and destination. Ceylon Nordic coordinates the enquiry; the contracting seller, importer and documentation responsibilities are agreed for each order.
